YWAA Selects Summer Intern

Natalie Warren '17 will intern at Camp Success
Yale student Natalie Warren '17 has been selected as YWAA's Community Service Fellow for 2014.  A native of Berea, KY, she will be a summer-intern counselor at Camp Success at Family Services of Westchester.  She starts the program during the week of June 23.

Each summer, YWAA selects a Yale student for a community-service internship in Westchester, provides funding for compensation and arranges for housing.

Camp Success is a "camp on wheels," serving children with emotional challenges.  Campers travel to various activities during the week, including bowling, skating, zoos, and museums.  On Fridays, counselors, including Warren, will meet to review campers' progress.

Warren graduated with high honors from Berea Community High School, where she was managing editor of the school newspaper and president of the Environmental Club. She was also president of her Girl Scout troop and worked as a counselor at a music, arts, drama and dance camp in Kentucky.

At Yale, Warren has worked as a research assistant at the Yale Social Robotics Lab and is a staff writer for the Yale Record, the humor publication. She resides in Morse College.

YWAA board member Betsy Litt '72 helps to arrange and coordinate YWAA internships.  Barry Abramson '77 and YWAA Vice President BK Munguia '75 will host Warren this summer.
