Fall is a favorite season for many Yale students, faculty and bands of alumni who happen to be on campus for events, meetings and football games. Orange, brown, and red colors compete with Yale blue. Mountains of leaves pile up within Gothic courtyards.
Students get set for midterms and enjoy the waning days when they can hurl Frisbees all over the lawn at Cross Campus while still dressed in shirtsleeves. Alumni hustle to AYA sessions, Alumni Fund meetings, and shared-interests reunions, but still find moments to pause under the archways at Silliman or Davenport College to observe that the setting has hardly changed from decades ago.
