Bronxville's Meredith Rizzo '17 and the Yale women's cross-country team launched the fall season in mid-September in a 5K race against rivals Harvard and Princeton in New Haven. Yale placed second (to Harvard) in the competition, and Rizzo (above, from the meet) followed up her successful freshman year with a time of 18:43. Last year, Rizzo had outstanding times and finishes in the Heptagonal Championship, the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational and the Iona Meet of Champions. At Bronxville High School, Rizzo was a four-time state champion. The team will compete in as many as eight more races through the end of November.
